Congratulations Kath and Tommy, I'm sure the Queen's Head will soon be a loved local to be proud of. We're only sorry we no longer live in the village... but we'll be visiting soon.

a real pub

on an Octobers night after a days walking in Windermere, my better half Juliette our jack russell Dot and myself could not have wished for a warmer welcome. Excellent food, well presented and delicious, puddings to die for and a real log fire. Best wishes to everyone for a lovely evening and after being raised in the pub trade we will certainly be spreading the word on your 1st class establishment.

Best Pub in the World

My Wife/Daughter and myself always visit the Queens Head when we are in the lakes,the place the food and people are the best in world.I look forward to seeing you in November.

Carrie and Keith are excellent hosts providing a warm and friendly atmosphere. Food has always been excellent and good value. Plenty of choice and good portions. No hesitation in recommending.
Location is perfect - like a picture poscard - askham is a hidden treasure.

Christmas time at The Queens Head was absolutely fantastic stayed for 3 days, Carrie & Keith were so friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Food was brilliant and cooked to perfection (what a chef). Already booked a visit in the summer.

My New Local

I am a new askham villager and cant wait to be a regular at the queens great atmosphere great food friendly service in probally one of the prettiest villages in the lake district.

The quality of service is always great and friendly. I won't hesitate to bring friends and family to the Queens Head in Askham.
